Small RNA sequencing focuses on short RNA molecules. It allows us to discover novel miRNA and other small noncoding RNA molecules and to study their relative abundances. Such molecules are often part of silencing and post-transcriptional gene expression regulation processes. The sequencing of small RNAs can be a vital part in the identification of novel biomarkers.
