For Transcriptome Sequencing we use the Total RNA Seq Kit from ABI / life technologies. The sequencing is done with or without barcode on one Oct, Quad, or Lane, depending on the required number of reads. In addition to the library preparation (Fragment or Paired-End), all quality controls, ePCR, sequencing on the SOLiD platform and a basic or thorough data analysis is done by us:
- Quantitative expression analysis
- more than 90% of all known microRNA
- Identification of alternative splice variants
- Strand specificity
- Identification of expressed SNPs and mutations
- Consultation regarding the experimental design
- Data analysis incl. mapping, exon counting and SNV calling
