Stefanie Kleinmichel, Master of Science in Biology, joined CeGaT in January 2012. Within her PhD thesis she is working on the further development of diagnostic panels and the analysis of NGS data to look for new genes associated with neurodegenerative diseases. By dealing with hereditary hearing loss in the course of her diploma thesis at the University of Würzburg she was able to gain experience in the field of mutational analyses and diagnostic methods.
