Erik Riesch, Master of Science in Biology, joined CeGaT in February 2011. His engagement is part of his PhD thesis. He is working on the further development of the Epilepsy Panels and the validation of Next-Generation-Sequencing data to look for possible new genes associated with epilepsy. In the course of his university studies he gained experience in molecular diagnostic methods especially in the field of realtime-PCR and High Resolution Melting curve analysis.
